Job Summary
Teach a course on Patent Drafting and Prosecution as a Law Affiliate Faculty, including a practical, hands-on overview of the role an attorney plays before the USPTO; course covers advising a client on patentability, drafting patent specifications and claims, and preparing and advocating responses to USPTO Office Actions, through case-study exercises. The affiliate faculty member will not be required to attend department meetings and will spend some time outside of class addressing questions related to the class. Time taught will be determined by the applicant's schedule. Requires JD and active Utah Bar membership, plus significant teaching experience; position located in Utah.
