Job Summary
Electrical Reliability Engineer to lead electrical reliability initiatives within a chemical manufacturing environment, focusing on improving equipment uptime and strengthening preventive and predictive maintenance for electrical, instrumentation, and control systems. Ensure compliance with electrical and safety standards (NFPA 70E, NEC) in a PSM-regulated facility, provide technical leadership on motors, drives, PLC/HMI platforms, calibration and instrumentation issues, and collaborate on audits, safety observations, and continuous improvement. Supervises I&E technicians, partners with operations/maintenance/engineering, and supports installations, upgrades, and capital projects. Primary schedule is Monday–Friday 1st shift with occasional overtime or on-call rotation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related engineering field
- 5+ years of industrial experience with strong exposure to electrical systems, equipment reliability, or maintenance engineering
- Working knowledge of electrical safety and compliance requirements (NFPA 70E, NEC)
- Experience supporting or leading preventive and predictive maintenance programs for electrical, instrumentation, and/or control systems
- Hands-on experience in root cause failure analysis and using data or KPIs to improve equipment reliability performance
- Ability to demonstrate initiative, ownership, and independent judgment with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and influence team members in a plant environment
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
