Job Summary
Collect, sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and personal clothing while operating laundry equipment safely and efficiently. Maintain records of laundry activities and report maintenance or safety issues to the supervisor. Follow infection control and universal precautions policies to ensure a sanitary environment. Interact positively with residents, staff, and guests, providing excellent customer service. Perform all other duties as assigned. This role requires the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, work around cleaning products, and follow oral and written instructions. Residency within the service area is required. Required Qualifications
- Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies
- Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 50 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend and walk for extended periods
- Must be able to work around cleaning products
- Able to follow oral and written instructions, and perform routine, repetitive tasks daily
- Residency within the service area required
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous laundry experience is preferred but not required
- Maintain a positive attitude and effectively communicate with building occupants, administration, and HCSG leadership to perform daily tasks
