Job Summary

Required Qualifications

• •High School diploma or GED certificate
• •Must be a citizen of the United States
• •Requires an acceptable background check and credit check
• •Requires a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• •Must be 21 years of age
• •Must be able to exert moderate, though not constant physical effort
• •Ability to climb and balance
• •Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
• •Ability to lift objects of moderate weight (10-20 pounds)
• •Ability to perceive and discriminate colors, sounds, odor, depth, texture, and visual cues
• •Ability to communicate orally
• •Ability to tolerate exposure to odors, hazardous materials, disease, and pathogenic substances
• •Must refrain from all use of controlled substances
• •Subject to random controlled substances testing
• •Must be able to monitor inmates who assist Laundry Technicians
• •Must be able to maintain inventory of linens, cleaning supplies, and equipment
• •Must be able to distribute linens
• •Must be able to log inventory into Sheriff's Office tracking and computer systems
• •Must be able to maintain laundry room, storage areas and equipment for cleanliness and in good working order
