Job Summary
Cleans and organizes bedrooms, making designated beds daily, sanitizing bathrooms, and washing mattresses weekly. Collects, sorts, and processes soiled linens by pretreating items, operating washers and dryers, and folding laundry according to labels. Delivers clean clothing to residents accurately and maintains adequate supplies of towels and linens in designated areas. Complies with all infection control procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment during cleaning and laundry tasks. Performs duties on Saturdays and Sundays from 7:30am to 1:30pm.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers
- Ability to print and speak simple sentences
- Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's and perform weight and volume measurements
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions
- Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables
- Close vision

- Ability to adjust focus
- Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts
- Occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions
- Regularly required to talk, see and hear

- Must regularly lift and or move up to 10 pounds
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Saturday/Sunday
- 7:30am-1:30pm
