Job Summary
Oversees and supervises laundry staff; trains and supervises personnel; operates and monitors washing, dry cleaning, and drying machinery; maintains linens and ensures delivery to proper floors; maintains weekly payroll, vacation and holiday time; schedules staff and records rotations; verifies laundry requests for each department; ensures cleanliness and sanitation of the laundry department; assists in hiring, training, evaluating, counseling, and motivating team members; adheres to safety and security policies; supports elder-focused service and teamwork.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic mathematical knowledge
- Basic computer knowledge
- Three years or more experience in a laundry environment of a health related institution or industry
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services
- Willingness to embrace and exemplify St. John’s Brand Characteristics
