Job Summary
Sort clean and dirty linen into designated bins, pre-treat stains by color and type, and remove damaged items. Operate washers and dryers while monitoring detergent levels, then fold and distribute clean linens to storage or unit bags. Perform daily machine maintenance on lint traps and vents, assist in monthly inventories, and report equipment issues to the manager. Maintain cleanliness in laundry areas, ensure a safe working environment, and make guest deliveries as directed. Work irregular hours with a sense of urgency to meet distribution deadlines.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- Ability to make decisions
- Planning and scheduling capabilities
- Ability to read, write and do basic math
- Use of long term and short-term memory
- Willing and able to perform all duties related to site operation as directed by the Executive Housekeeper
- Maintain a sense of urgency so that linens are distributed on time
- Be prompt with all assignments and appointments
- Use supplies and equipment efficiently and effectively
- Assist in solving guest complaints promptly
- Create strong, positive customer relations
- Willing and able to assist resort guests and owners
- Make guest deliveries as directed
