Job Summary
Laundry Machine Operator in a fast-paced production environment. The role operates and monitors industrial washers and dryers, weighing loads, selecting cleaning formulas, and ensuring proper processing of textiles. Responsibilities include safe handling of chemicals with PPE, keeping equipment and area clean, monitoring cleaning results, recording processed tonnage/loads, transferring completed work to designated areas, and coordinating with Check-In/Shipping and other departments to maintain quality standards and delivery schedules. Requires ability to load heavy loads, follow safety programs, and adhere to English-language requirements and health screenings; full-time daytime shifts Mon–Fri at Annapolis, MD.
Required Qualifications
- Experience performing laundry related duties (inspecting pieces, using laundry machines, applying chemicals, dyeing, starching, treating laundry, etc.)
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance
- Males born after December 31, 1959 must be registered for Selective Service
- Verification of employment eligibility in the United States (E-Verify)
- Must be able to understand and communicate in English
- Must complete an Occupational Health screening
- Must participate in Direct Deposit
- Ability to load/unload commercial washers/dryers up to 500 pounds
- Knowledge of effects of water temperature and chemicals in washing
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to monitor performance of laundry machines and maintain records
- Probationary period for full-time employees (one year)
