Laundry

Operate washers, dryers, and irons to provide clean resident and community laundry and linen. Sort laundry from dryers, fold, wrap, or hang items; distribute laundry to community storage areas and residents. Collect and transport soiled laundry from various community areas to the laundry room following department procedures. Adhere to policies involving risk of exposure to bodily fluids when cleaning clothing, linen, and isolation laundry. Ensure all resident laundry is properly labeled and maintain par inventory levels of community laundry such as bed sheets and towels. Conduct scheduled maintenance of laundry equipment while reporting any observations concerning structural equipment wear defects or malfunctioning equipment.
