Job Summary
Inventory and label residents' clothing and personal belongings upon admission. Sort, wash, dry, fold, and distribute linens and residents' clothing while operating laundry equipment safely. Wash contaminated linens separately per infection prevention guidelines and inspect garments for cleanliness. Collect and transport soiled linens throughout the facility. Clean and disinfect resident rooms, bathrooms, hallways, dining areas, offices, and common spaces. Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, and sanitize floors, furniture, fixtures, mirrors, windows, and other surfaces. Replenish supplies and maintain clean, organized housekeeping and laundry storage areas. Follow all infection control, safety, and facility policies. Perform other housekeeping and laundry duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and resident safety
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable attendance and a positive, professional attitude
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of housekeeping and/or laundry experience preferred
- Previous experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF), Rehabilitation Center, or Long-Term Care setting strongly preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
