Job Summary
Sort, inspect, and process soiled linens, towels, and uniforms according to established procedures while operating commercial laundry equipment safely. Fold, press, and organize cleaned items for storage and distribution to guest rooms, restaurants, and banquet facilities. Maintain adequate stock levels and conduct routine linen counts and inventory as directed. Store supplies in an organized, secure manner and report damaged equipment or safety hazards promptly. Follow all health, safety, sanitation, and infection prevention standards while handling lost and found items per policy. Assist with room preparation and public area maintenance during peak periods. Work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays in a warm, humid environment.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull laundry carts and linen bundles weighing up to 35 lbs
- Comfortable performing repetitive tasks such as folding, sorting, lifting, and loading laundry
- Ability to work in a warm, humid laundry environment while maintaining productivity and attention to detail
- Flexible and willing to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is an asset
- Previous experience in a hotel laundry, commercial laundry facility, housekeeping, or a similar environment is preferred
- Familiarity with commercial laundry equipment and linen care practices is an advantage
- Basic understanding of fabric care, stain removal techniques, and laundry chemicals
- Ability to communicate effectively and follow written and verbal instructions
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced hospitality environment
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work with minimal supervision
- Team-oriented with a positive and professional attitude
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle guest property responsibly
