Job Summary
Load articles into washers with detergent, turn valves to fill with water, and start machines to wash and rinse. Lift wet items into wringers and dryers, then sort dried articles by identification number or type. Fold items into storage bins, iron table linens, and lubricate machines using a grease gun and oilcan. Ensure equipment cleanliness, dissolve soap granules for liquid soap, mend torn articles, and mix dyes and bleaches according to formulas. Soak contaminated articles in neutralizer solution and sort/count items to verify laundry list quantities. Report to scheduled shifts on time in uniform, comply with all company policies and material safety data sheet regulations, and greet guests in a friendly manner.
Required Qualifications
- Must have basic Reading, Writing, and Math skills
- Customer Service Skills required
- Prioritization and time management skills required
- Working quickly without compromising quality
- Must have a strong attention to detail
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma, GED certification or equivalent experience preferred
- Laundry attendant experience preferred
- Experience with Hotel Brand systems preferred
