Job Summary
Collect and sort dirty linens, wash, dry, iron, and fold all bed linens, towels, and tablecloths as directed by management. Operate washing machines, dryers, and irons while maintaining equipment, cleaning dryer filters daily, and ensuring all machinery is shut off at day's end. Fold linens, stock linen carts and closets throughout the hotel, and sweep and mop laundry floors to keep the area clean and debris-free. Remove and sort dirty items from carts, keeping carts clean and free of debris. Practice safe work habits to ensure safety for guests and employees while pushing laundry carts with potential weights between 50-400 lbs. Perform other tasks assigned by the supervisor or manager in accordance with Aimbridge Hospitality policies.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
- Must work well in stressful high pressure situations.
- Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
- Must be able to constantly push/pull laundry carts (empty and full) with potential weight between 50-400lbs (may vary by property).
- Must be able to occasionally pull linens from washer to dryer with potential weight between 25-150lbs (may vary by property).
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
