Job Summary
Collect, transport, sort, weigh, load, and unload linens through washers, dryers, and chutes during overnight hours. Wash and dry dirty linens, towels, and rags as directed by management. Iron, fold, and stock linen carts while maintaining a clean work area and sweeping floors. Clean dryer filters daily, operate irons per standard, and ensure equipment is shut off at the end of the shift. Approach guests and employees in a friendly service-oriented manner while maintaining high standards of personal appearance and grooming. Comply with Aimbridge Hospitality standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
- Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Must work well in stressful high pressure situations
- Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
- Must maintain regular attendance in compliance with Aimbridge Hospitality standards as required by scheduling which will vary according to the needs of the hotel
- Maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming which include wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working (per brand standards)
- Comply at all times with Aimbridge Hospitality standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations
- Employees must at all times be friendly helpful and courteous to guests managers and fellow employees
- Understand operation of washing machines and dryers
- Be familiar with all Aimbridge Hospitality's policies and house rules
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred
