Job Summary
Wash and dry food and beverage and guest room linen, sorting items by type and soil level. Process stained linens per established standards and press, fold, and stack neatly. Operate the ironer and log load counts for washers and dryers. Stock linen for distribution and maintain a clean, safe laundry room environment. Report damages, hazards, defective equipment, or unsafe conditions immediately to the supervisor. Adhere to all policies, fire prevention procedures, and emergency protocols while utilizing protective equipment. Lift heavy loads and push carts throughout the shift.
Required Qualifications
- Talk to different kinds of people to give information, answer questions and provide required services
- Stand or walk for varying lengths of time, often long periods
- Lift and carry heavy loads of linen
- Move fingers, arms and hands quickly and easily to shake, sort, wash, dry, load, fold and stack linen
- Push heavy linen carts
- Reach and bend for varying lengths of time, often long periods
- Visually inspect linen
- Lifting thirty (30) pounds maximum
- Pushing one hundred (100) pound cart
- Frequent reaching, twisting, bending, stooping, walking, standing, handling, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing, smiling
