Job Summary
Responsible for the quality and availability of hotel linen by washing, drying, sorting by type/soil, processing stained linen, pressing and folding linen, and stocking supplies. Must operate the ironer, log washer/dryer loads, report damages or hazards to supervisor, maintain a clean laundry area, and adhere to safety procedures. Requires ability to communicate with staff and guests, stand or walk for long periods, lift and move heavy linen, push carts, and perform repetitive motions with hands and fingers.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to talk to different kinds of people to give information and provide required services
- Stand or walk for varying lengths of time
- Lift and carry heavy loads of linen
- Move fingers, arms and hands quickly to shake, sort, wash, dry, load, fold and stack linen
- Push heavy linen carts
- Reach and bend for varying lengths of time
- Visually inspect linen
- Follow safety and security procedures
