Job Summary
Operate the laundry facility daily, managing linen flow through bag breaking, sorting, folding, and flatwork processing. Monitor conditions to sort linens by stain or type, replenish supplies, and maintain a clean workstation. Adhere to health, safety, and OSHA regulations while properly storing and restocking cleaning chemicals. Report equipment faults, linen shortages, and hazards immediately to the supervisor. Work independently in a fast-paced environment, lifting up to 25 lbs and standing for most of the shift.
Required Qualifications
- Basic knowledge of resort activities
- Must be able to work both independently and in a team environment
- Must possess a valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Must be able to follow directions and show respect to other employees, supervisor and management
- Must be able to lift minimum weight of 25 lbs. across short-medium distances
- Must physically be able to transport linen(s) over the course of a full shift, and remain standing for a vast majority of that shift
- Must be able to work on site due to daily needs of the job requirements
- Must be able to work in a fast paced, intense work environment, sometimes under extreme heat and stress, and must be able to remain calm
