Laundry Attendant

Responsible for the upkeep and smooth functioning of the laundry department. The laundry attendant should possess knowledge of all equipment and how it operates. The position also works closely with housekeeping to ensure proper inventory levels are supplied to the floors in a timely and efficient manner. Essential duties include formulating washing formulas for stained loads, sorting dirty linen, tracking rag outs, participating in monthly linen inventory, ensuring linen is clean and ready for inventory, communicating maintenance issues, suggesting efficiency improvements, organizing linen by type, multitasking across multiple machines, ensuring linen availability for guest floors, folding linen and terry cloth items neatly, maintaining professional appearance and confidentiality, and performing other duties as assigned. Knowledge and Skills required include a High School Diploma, being team oriented, empathetic, friendly, and able to prioritize tasks.
