Job Summary
Sort, wash, dry, press, and fold clothing and textile items while removing stains and performing minor sewing duties. Track which items belong to whom and maintain an updated inventory of detergents and sewing kits. Monitor laundering equipment for maintenance and repairs, ensuring the facility remains clean. Anticipate and respond to customer queries, concerns, and complaints, keeping sufficient tokens or change for machines as required. This role requires standing for long periods and lifting up to 20 pounds unaided. Candidates must be available for shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Available to work shifts and on weekends
- Have the ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and/or holidays
- Capacity to lift up to 20 pounds unaided
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Strong communication skills are essential when interacting with guests and employees
- Reading abilities are used often when completing paperwork, logging issues/complaints/requests/ information updates, etc
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is advantageous
- Prior experience in a similar role is preferable
- Familiarity with cleaning detergents and laundering equipment
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Personable disposition with a knack for customer service
- Being passionate about people and service
- Problem-solving, reasoning, motivating, and training abilities are often used
