Job Summary
Clean and press soiled linen from guest rooms, banquet rooms, and kitchens while sorting, washing, drying, and folding items according to established procedures. Transport dirty linens to the laundry area, assist with monthly inventory, and remove trash at the end of each shift. Sweep and mop floors, wipe down equipment, and report any malfunctions to management. Approach guests and employees in a friendly, service-oriented manner to ensure high standards of personal appearance and grooming. Maintain regular attendance in compliance with scheduling needs.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- relative experience in customer service
- Ability to effectively communicate with employees and supervisors
- Demonstrate the ability to anticipate and solve practical problems or resolve issues
- Individuals may need to sit or stand as needed for an extended period of time
- Reaching above shoulder heights, below the waist or lifting as required to file documents or store materials
- Proper lifting techniques required
- Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects
