Job Summary
Collect, transport, sort, and load/unload washers and dryers while washing, drying, spot-treating stains, and folding linens to maintain a constant supply of clean items. Clean laundry machinery, dryer filters after every three loads, and sweep floors to keep the area safe and tidy. Monitor safety protocols, report maintenance issues, and deliver cribs or towels to guest rooms as requested. Work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays while maintaining professional appearance and confidentiality.
Required Qualifications
- High school education
- Ability to communicate with hotel staff, guests, and management in a professional manner
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
- Ability to learn safety, emergency, and accident prevention policies and procedures
- Neat, well-groomed appearance including wearing the proper uniform and name tag when working (per brand standards)
- Must be able to communicate well with others
- Must be able to effectively deal with guests
- Must be able to accept constructive criticism
- Must be able to change activity frequently and cope with interruptions
- Lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
- Lift up to 50 pounds from time to time

- Spot treat any stained linen as needed
- Clean dryer filter after every 3 loads and maintain all equipment as trained
- Neatly fold linens and stock linen carts, shelves, and storage rooms as required
- Sweep and mop laundry floors keeping laundry room and storage areas safe and clean at all times
- Demonstrate good communication skills and convey information and ideas
- Recognize and take action on any safety or loss prevention incidences that may cause damage, injury, or other liability to individuals or company property
- Implement all company policies and procedures for safety and security
- Complete training in all areas of security, alcohol, and health and safety
- Ensuring that all OSHA, State, and Federal guidelines for chemical, fire, health, and safety are being followed
- Keeping safety in mind in all things
- Participates in and supports a positive, enjoyable work environment
- Handle laundry equipment according to programmed cycles
- Follow all state and federal guidelines including OSHA Hazardous Communication Training
- Communicates openly with direct supervisor
