Job Summary
Collect, wash, dry, iron, fold, and deliver all dirty linens, towels, and rags throughout the hotel as directed by management. Operate washing machines, dryers, and irons per standard, maintaining equipment by cleaning dryer filters daily and ensuring safety shut-offs. Remove and sort linens from carts, sweep and mop floors, and stock linen closets while keeping carts clean and free of debris. Practice safe work habits when pushing or pulling carts weighing up to 400 lbs. Work evenings at the Holiday Inn Express Nashville Downtown Conf Ctr, adhering to Aimbridge Hospitality policies and performing other assigned tasks.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
- Must work well in stressful high pressure situations.
- Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
- Must be able to constantly push/pull laundry carts (empty and full) with potential weight between 50-400lbs (may vary by property).
- Must be able to occasionally pull linens from washer to dryer with potential weight between 25-150lbs (may vary by property).
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
