Job Summary
Perform all stages of linen processing, including sorting, weighing, loading, unloading washers and dryers, folding, and storing linens. Clean laundry machinery and the laundry area, assist with laundry inventory, and handle valet and laundry bags. Support room/suite attendants with general cleaning duties such as vacuuming, carpet shampooing, floor cleaning, trash removal, and stocking supply rooms. Respond to guest requests and report mechanical problems or hazardous conditions. Maintain a constant supply of clean linens and towels for the hotel.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to arrive to work on time and when scheduled
- Physically able to stand on feet up to 7 hours a day
- Ability to operate washer and dryer equipment
- Physically able to move/lift, large, heavy objects such as: linen, linen carts, and/or bags of linen
- Ability to communicate effectively with guests and/or team members verbally or in written form
- Ability to learn, follow and enforce standards for cleanliness as they apply to the areas assigned
- Ability to follow all safety procedures/standards and able to recognize and act in emergency
- Must possess knowledge of the service standards
- Regular attendance in conformance with company standards
