Job Summary
Assist residents with activities of daily living including dressing, grooming, peri-care, toileting, and hygiene while serving them at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Perform laundry duties, light housekeeping, and daily general cleaning to maintain a safe, orderly, and sanitary environment. Respond promptly to resident and family requests, observe and report changes in health or safety hazards, and participate in leisure activities and emergency protocols. Ensure residents sign out when leaving the community and comply with HIPAA regulations and established policies.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- one to two years related experience and/or training
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions
- Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
