Job Summary
Ensure cleanliness standards are maintained by performing labelling, sorting, washing, drying, and folding of clothing items. Maintain the laundry facility as required while demonstrating constant awareness of safety hazards and reporting issues to the Manager of Environmental Services. Work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team, adhering to established time limitations to provide resident satisfaction. The position requires physical fitness to lift up to 25 lbs, stand for long periods, and work in confined spaces, with a clear criminal record clearance. Located at Villa Marguerite Seniors Community, this casual day shift role is part of the Environmental Services department under Park Place Senior Living.
Required Qualifications
- physically fit and in general good health
- ability to push, pull and lift a minimum of 25 lbs
- ability to be on your feet for long periods of time
- Effective written and oral communication skills in the English language
- ability to work in confined spaces
- Clear criminal record clearance with Vulnerable Sector included (no more than 6 months old)
- Appropriately dressed
- ability to work independently
- ability to work as part of the interdisciplinary team
