Job Summary
Collect and sort dirty linens, wash, dry, iron, and fold towels, bed sheets, and tablecloths as directed by management. Operate washing machines, dryers, and irons while cleaning dryer filters daily and maintaining all equipment. Stock linen carts and closets throughout the hotel, sweep and mop floors, and keep work areas clean and debris-free. Practice safe work habits when pushing or pulling laundry carts weighing up to 400 lbs. Perform other tasks assigned by the supervisor or manager.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
- Must work well in stressful high pressure situations.
- Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
- Must be able to constantly push/pull laundry carts (empty and full) with potential weight between 50-400lbs (may vary by property).
- Must be able to occasionally pull linens from washer to dryer with potential weight between 25-150lbs (may vary by property).
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
