Job Summary
Collect, wash, dry, iron, and fold all dirty linens, towels, and rags as directed by management. Operate washing machines, dryers, and irons while maintaining equipment and cleaning filters daily. Sort and stock linen carts and closets throughout the hotel, sweeping and mopping floors to keep areas clean. Push and pull laundry carts weighing up to 400 lbs and remove debris from carts. Practice safe work habits to ensure guest and employee safety. Perform other tasks assigned by the supervisor or manager.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
- Must work well in stressful high pressure situations.
- Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
- Must be able to constantly push/pull laundry carts (empty and full) with potential weight between 50-400lbs (may vary by property).
- Must be able to occasionally pull linens from washer to dryer with potential weight between 25-150lbs (may vary by property).
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
