Job Summary
Collect and sort dirty linens, wash, dry, iron, and fold all bed linens, towels, and tablecloths as directed. Operate washing machines, dryers, and irons while cleaning dryer filters daily and maintaining all equipment. Fold linens, stock linen carts and closets throughout the hotel, and sweep and mop floors to keep the area debris-free. Maintain clean laundry carts and practice safe work habits to ensure guest and employee safety. Perform other assigned tasks as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
- Must work well in stressful high pressure situations.
- Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
- Must be able to constantly push/pull laundry carts (empty and full) with potential weight between 50-400lbs (may vary by property).
- Must be able to occasionally pull linens from washer to dryer with potential weight between 25-150lbs (may vary by property).
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
