Job Summary
Collect, transport, sort, weigh, load, and unload linens into washers, dryers, and chutes. Wash, dry, iron, fold, and deliver all dirty linens, towels, rags, and bed linens as directed. Clean dryer filters daily, maintain equipment, and operate irons per standard. Sweep and mop floors, store linens off the floor, and stock linen closets throughout the hotel. Remove and sort dirty items from carts, keep carts clean and debris-free, and perform other assigned tasks. Maintain safe work habits to ensure safety for guests and employees.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
- Must work well in stressful high pressure situations
- Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
- Must be able to constantly push/pull laundry carts (empty and full) with potential weight between 50-400lbs (may vary by property)
- Must be able to occasionally pull linens from washer to dryer with potential weight between 25-150lbs (may vary by property)
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred
