Job Summary
Collect, transport, sort, weigh, load, and unload linens across washers, dryers, and chutes. Wash, dry, iron, fold, and store all dirty linens including bed linens, towels, and tablecloths. Clean laundry machinery daily, sweep and mop floors, and keep carts free of debris. Operate ironing equipment safely and stock linen closets throughout the hotel. Maintain composure while pushing and pulling carts with weights up to 400 lbs. Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor or manager.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
- Must work well in stressful high pressure situations.
- Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
- Must be able to constantly push/pull laundry carts (empty and full) with potential weight between 50-400lbs (may vary by property).
- Must be able to occasionally pull linens from washer to dryer with potential weight between 25-150lbs (may vary by property).
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
