Job Summary
Collect, transport, sort, weigh, load, and unload linens into washers, dryers, and chutes. Wash, dry, iron, fold, and deliver all dirty linens, towels, rags, and bed linens as directed. Clean dryer filters daily, sweep and mop floors, and stock linen closets throughout the hotel. Maintain all laundry machinery and equipment as trained while practicing safe work habits. Push and pull laundry carts containing weights between 50-400 lbs and occasionally move linens between machines weighing 25-150 lbs. Remove and sort dirty items from carts, keep carts clean and debris-free, and perform other assigned tasks.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
- Must work well in stressful high pressure situations.
- Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure.
- Must be able to constantly push/pull laundry carts (empty and full) with potential weight between 50-400lbs (may vary by property).
- Must be able to occasionally pull linens from washer to dryer with potential weight between 25-150lbs (may vary by property).
Desired Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent and/or experience in a hotel or a related field preferred.
