Laundry Assistant / Part Time

Job Summary
Gather dirty laundry as instructed, load washers, and prepare linens for morning change while keeping dirty and clean items strictly separate. Check water temperatures to ensure they meet the 150° requirement, clean lint traps per policy, and monitor detergent, softener, and bleach levels. Operate washing machines and dryers according to manufacturer and center procedures, removing dry clothes, folding, and storing them safely. Maintain clean floors and walls, report equipment issues to the supervisor, and shut down all machinery when a fire alarm sounds. Follow all federal, state, and center policies regarding chemical safety and standard operating procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be able to work rotating weekends
- Must be able to work morning shifts
- Must be able to operate washing machines and dryers
- Must be able to follow federal, state and center policies and procedures
- Must be able to work safely following proper procedures when using chemical agents
- Must be able to work in a senior care environment
