Laundry Assistant

Job Summary
Operate and maintain hospital laundry equipment (Neet Feed Spreader, ironer, folder, and dryer) to process clean linens. Perform basic laundry tasks including shake out, sorting, folding, and inspection of linens to support department goals. Fills linen carts, keeps laundry and equipment clean, and maintains a safe work environment. Participate in meetings and training; perform other duties or special projects as assigned. Secondary duties may include stamping hospital logos on linens, preparing linen packs for surgery, and mending linen items. May drive hospital vehicles as required with a valid state license.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to operate laundry equipment safely and efficiently
- Fills linen carts per requirements
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness of laundry and equipment
- Maintain a safe work environment
- Attend meetings and training sessions as scheduled
- Perform duties related to patching/stamping hospital logos on linens (as applicable)
- Prepare linen packs for surgery
- Mend/repair linen items as requested
