Laundry Aide

Performs day-to-day activities of the laundry department to ensure provision of quality laundry service compliance in accordance to Federal, State and Local ordinance and regulations. Ensures the environmental and linen cleanliness and sanitation for resident safety comfort and convenience. Responsibilities include general housekeeping/cleaning duties to maintain a sanitary, safe, attractive, and orderly center; coordinating inventories of clothing and personal items brought in with new residents and marking with proper identification; coordinating picking up soiled linen from each wing, preparing articles for washing by unbuttoning and sorting; and performing other duties as assigned. Requires a high school diploma or equivalency (preferred) and at least one year of work experience in a commercial setting with knowledge of laundry/housekeeping procedures.
