Job Summary
Sort and separate laundry items per requirements, operate washing machines, dryers, irons, and sewing machines, and hand iron and fold garments. Perform simple mending, transport laundered clothes to appropriate floors, and ensure proper identification of all personal clothing. Maintain a clean work environment by dusting, washing equipment and shelves, and managing supplies like soap and bleach. Clean the work area upon shift completion. This role supports residents at AgeCare Willowgrove in a person-centered, home-like atmosphere for seniors.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of public-school education
- Grade 12 Diploma
- Must be able to read, write and follow oral instructions
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in a laundry operation
- Grade 12 Diploma preferred
