Job Summary
Provide clothing and linen support services by ensuring collection, distribution, processing, and inventory of linens and personal clothing. Sort linens, load and unload washers and dryers, iron, mend, fold, and audit items for labels and repairs. Maintain high sanitation standards, a clean work area, and equipment while applying infection control protocols and cleaning schedules. Observe machine operations, report malfunctions, and assist in maintaining laundry facilities. Complete cleaning duties and support quality initiatives by providing feedback to the team leader. Perform other duties as assigned. This role supports the Team Member Experience and drives innovation within Sienna Senior Living's communities.
Required Qualifications
- Secondary school graduate or equivalent
- Knowledge related to infection control, cleaning practices, housekeeping operations and equipment
- Ability to work independently or as a team
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and residents
- Successfully pass the prescribed Vulnerable Sector Check
- Successfully pass the prescribed Criminal Records Check
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in Institutional Cleaning/Laundry in Long Term Care or Retirement Residence
