Job Summary
Laundry Aide at Solaris HealthCare Apopka (Apopka, FL) responsible for maintaining a clean and organized laundry area, adhering to infection control and safety protocols, operating washers/dryers, inspecting linens for damage, folding and distributing clean linens, and assisting with inventory. Collaborates with team to ensure timely completion of tasks, supports overall facility operations, and contributes to resident care. Requires ability to read/speak English, attention to detail, strong organizational and time management skills, physical stamina to lift heavy loads, and adherence to safety and infection-control protocols.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be able to read, speak and understand the English language
- Must possess the ability to provide care appropriate to the age-related needs of residents
- Must be a supportive team member and contribute to teamwork
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, families, visitors, government agencies/personnel and the general public
- Must possess leadership ability and willingness to supervise other personnel
- Must have patience, tact, cheerful disposition and enthusiasm
- Must be able to relate information concerning a resident’s condition
- Must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of others in the workplace
