Job Summary
Laundry Aide assists in the delivery of laundry services in a long-term care setting. Responsibilities include loading machines to proper weight/level, sorting by color/fabric/type, pre-soaking, transferring laundered items to dryers, folding and stacking dried items, ironing, mending, distributing personal laundry to patients' closets, cleaning and disinfecting laundry areas, ensuring sanitation and safety standards, proper storage of supplies, and identifying safety hazards. The role may function as a Team Leader/Role Model and requires adherence to policies and participation in weekly in-services related to Patient Care Management Systems.
