Job Summary
Perform day-to-day laundry department activities in accordance with federal, state, and local standards to maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary facility. Ensure work schedules are followed, coordinate services with nursing staff, and distribute clean linen during emergency conditions as instructed. Follow established fire safety policies, proper chemical mixing techniques, and material safety data sheets while wearing required personal protective equipment. Keep work areas free of hazardous conditions, clean carts and equipment, and report all accidents or incidents to the supervisor. Maintain resident care information confidentiality and ensure adequate linen supplies are available at all times.
Required Qualifications
- Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc., and maintain the appearance of laundry areas, for sanitation, order, and safety.
- Must be able to follow written and oral instructions concerning the mixture of cleaning compounds, liquids, cleaning instructions, etc.
- Should be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet
