Job Summary
Laundry Aide at Corbin Health & Rehabilitation Center. Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of linens and laundry area; supports housekeeping/laundry operations under supervision; performs duties to ensure sanitary and orderly laundry facilities, handling institutional and personal linens, and adhering to policies and safety requirements. Requires physical endurance (standing, walking, lifting up to 50 pounds), ability to follow instructions, attention to hygiene and safety, and ability to work with residents and staff in a healthcare setting. Emphasizes compliance with healthcare regulations, drug-free workplace standards, and equal opportunity employment. The role involves routine cleaning, waste handling, and equipment maintenance within the laundry area; shifts may include holidays or weekends as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Basic understanding of cleaning
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
- Ability to perform multiple job functions and tasks with minimum supervision
- Must possess the ability to make independent decisions
- Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with others
- Must maintain the care and use of supplies and equipment
- Must be able to follow written and oral instructions
- Must be able to lift, push, pull and move a minimum of fifty (50) pounds
- Pursuant to the Drug Free Workplace Act of 1988, all employees must remain drug free and alcohol free when reporting to work, while at work and while engaged in any work related activities
