Job Summary
Casual Laundry Aide at AgeCare Glen Oaks in Oakville, ON. Performs laundry duties such as sorting, operating washing machines and dryers, ironing, and sewing machine use; hand irons and folds/hangs garments; does simple mending and repairs; transports laundered garments; ensures proper identification of personal clothing; maintains a clean, stocked workspace; supports a safe, resident-centered environment in a long-term care setting. Requires reading/writing skills; Grade 12 diploma preferred; prior laundry experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in a laundry operation is preferred
- Must understand the basics of good laundry techniques/practices
- A minimum of public-school education is required
- Grade 12 Diploma preferred
- Must be able to read, write and follow oral instructions
