Job Summary
Collect, distribute, process, and inventory linens and personal clothing while sorting, loading, and unloading washers and dryers. Iron, mend, fold, and load carts for delivery, auditing items for labels and repairs. Discard and record inappropriate inventory, maintain sanitation standards, and apply infection control protocols to ensure a clean, safe environment. Observe machine operations, report malfunctions, and assist with laundry facility maintenance. Complete cleaning duties in the laundry room and support quality initiatives by providing feedback to the team leader.
Required Qualifications
- Secondary school graduate or equivalent
- Knowledge related to infection control, cleaning practices, housekeeping operations and equipment
- Ability to work independently or as a team
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members and residents
- You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work/study permit
- You must successfully pass a Vulnerable Sector Check and Criminal Records Check
