Job Summary
Sort, wash, dry, fold, and iron resident clothing and facility linens. Stock linen closets and carts for nursing units, then return barrels to the laundry. Deliver clean linens and clothing to rooms while maintaining a sanitary work area. Purge stained or unacceptable items and perform routine equipment cleaning, including removing detergent build-up and cleaning lint traps. Conduct all duties in accordance with the Company's Code of Conduct and infection control techniques. Requires ability to lift 50 lbs and read/write at an appropriate level.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read and write at a level appropriate for the job
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents and their family members, and at all levels of the organization
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to be patient and polite
- Ability to learn operation of washing machines, dryers, and associated equipment
- Ability to learn infection control techniques
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
