Job Summary
Ensure that assigned work areas are maintained in a clean, safe, and sanitary manner, including managing dryer lint traps and cleaning work/supply carts. Coordinate daily laundry services with nursing services while distributing clean linen and garments during emergency conditions as instructed. Follow established fire safety policies, proper chemical mixing techniques, and use of personal protective equipment when handling infectious materials or heavy objects. Report all accidents, incidents, and supply needs to your supervisor, keeping work areas free of hazardous conditions. Maintain confidentiality of resident care information and adhere to federal, state, and local standards governing the facility.
Required Qualifications
- Must maintain the care and use of supplies, equipment, etc., and maintain the appearance of laundry areas, for sanitation, order, and safety.
- Must be able to follow written and oral instructions concerning the mixture of cleaning compounds, liquids, cleaning instructions, etc.
- Should be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 25 pounds to a minimum height of 5 feet and be able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet
