Job Summary

Coordinate between York and launch vehicle teams to define and maintain environmental, mechanical, electrical, and other flight interfaces between the spacecraft, launch vehicle, and launch site. Lead the development and maintenance of Launch Systems Interface Requirements Documents (LSIRDs) and Interface Control Documents (ICDs), driving requirements allocation and flowdown across multidisciplinary teams. Develop and execute integration test plans to verify spacecraft-to-launch-vehicle hardware interfaces, while coordinating technical decisions and resolving complex interface conflicts from early integration through launch campaign execution. Some travel is expected to support spacecraft integration, testing, and activities at launch sites and industry partner locations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in aerospace, space systems, or a related engineering field.
  • Experience with spacecraft-to-launch-vehicle integration or other complex system integration activities.
  • Experience working with technical requirements, interfaces, verification, and/or system-level analyses.
  • Experience working hands-on with hardware or software technical projects.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Ability to travel to launch sites, test sites, industry partner offices, and customer locations as needed.
  • Must have permanent authorization to work in the United States.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with commercial rideshare, NSSL, or other launch integration programs.
  • Experience leading spacecraft-to-launch-vehicle integration campaigns.
  • Experience supporting launch campaigns at the Range.
  • Experience with LSIRDs, ICDs, requirements allocation, and interface verification.
  • Experience providing functional technical leadership, such as leading anomaly investigations or other cross-functional technical teams.
  • Experience working directly with customers and/or launch vehicle providers.
  • Proposal development and technical writing experience.
  • Active secret clearance or higher
