Job Summary
Rotational two-year program for early-career mechanical/automation engineers. The Mechanical Engineer will research, design, and develop mechanical products and systems across four rotations (Steam Turbines and Compressor, Gas Turbine, Pumps, Electro-Mechanical Services) with six-month assignments in each area, including overhauls, repairs, reverse engineering, testing, and field service. Participants will rotate through multiple Sulzer Service Center locations in the Americas, with relocation to assigned sites, housing allowance, mileage reimbursement, and transfer time. Responsibilities include designing and upgrading drawings, work instructions, procedures, technical documentation, tooling and fixturing improvements; collaborating with internal teams and external vendors; balancing troubleshooting with long-term projects; and leading or participating in process improvements. Required BS in mechanical/electrical/industrial/manufacturing/automation engineering; strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and project-management skills; ability to relocate and begin in January or July; US work authorization. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing or Automation Engineering
- Authorization to work in the USA without restriction or sponsorship
- Flexibility to work overtime and Saturdays as needed
- Ability to relocate while in the program
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project-management skills
- Attention to detail and safety
- Ability to work in an industrial shop environment
- Willingness to begin the program in January or July
