Job Summary
Launch Manager responsible for establishing project plans, deliverables and milestones for JPDS projects; monitor team performance and provide coaching to meet milestones and quality standards; maintain program timelines and issue-tracking, support APQP activities and approve line layouts, TCT, B.O.M., PFMEA, CP, and PFD; coordinate in-plant prototype submissions and manage BOM releases; ensure production staff are trained to produce new products, and oversee machinery readiness to meet TAKT-time production requirements; collaborate with Corporate Program Managers, Business Unit Leaders and Plant Management on progress and corrective actions; strong emphasis on reading blueprints, safety policies, basic math, PC skills, problem solving, Lean Manufacturing concepts, and effective communication.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required for all new hires
- Associates or Bachelor Degree in Related Field preferred
- Two to Five years of Manufacturing Engineering experience in automotive environment preferred
- Injection molding knowledge preferred
- Experience reading blueprints and tolerances
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Problem solving in mechanical and numerical domains
- Lean manufacturing concepts and TPS knowledge
