Job Summary
Develop launch readiness tools to track customer deliverables and metrics against the business case while ensuring the PDP and Zero Defect Launch process are followed for all launches. Manage the Lead Operations and Industrial Engineering Group and Change Management Process, develop direct reports, and coordinate competing plant resources including skilled trades, floor space, and engineers. Resolve issues between the plant and outside functional groups to ensure all program deliverables are met prior to acceptance from Corporate. Requires strong manufacturing background, launch management experience, and proficiency in lean principles and quality improvement processes.
Required Qualifications
- Strong manufacturing background
- Launch and LOE Management Experience
- Management experience of multiple discipline teams
- Knowledge of application of lean principles, quality improvement processes, manufacturing process, and production management systems
- Knowledge of basic mechanical concepts and practical application of technology
- High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others, motivate employees and drive improvements
- Proficient in written and oral communication skills
Desired Qualifications
- Previous launch experience (Tier 1 Automotive)
- 5-7 years' experience in a Manager's Role
- Operations/Engineering Manager's experience in supervising hourly and salary personnel
