Lathe Set Up Operator

Lathe Set Up Operator responsible for setting up and operating CNC lathes for production. Responsibilities include setting up multiple CNC lathes and running production, utilizing inspection equipment and check fixtures, creating and maintaining job boxes for repeat work (including special tooling and workholding), pulling tooling and setting up machines for new jobs based on engineering programs and tool sheets, loading programs and running first pieces while dialing in processes for quality approval, following established systems and processes, creating engineering packets at job end to ensure repeatability, and maintaining efficient production and quality standards. Reports to the department manager with potential growth into a Cell Lead role overseeing a production cell. About you: experience with CNC lathes preferred; familiarity with Mori Seiki mill/turn and Doosan backgrounds are pluses; ability to use inspection equipment; commitment to quality and production standards; system- and process-driven mindset; strong communication; ability to work independently after training; interest in programming (GibbsCAM or on-machine) in the future.
