Job Summary
CNC Lathe Operator responsible for setting up and operating a Mazak CNC lathe to produce high-precision aerospace components on ferrous and non-ferrous materials. Responsibilities include daily machine maintenance, tool management, entering offsets, replacing worn tools, and ensuring clean, organized workspaces. Must read and interpret prints with GD&T to hold tolerances of .0002"-.0005" while maintaining productivity, and communicate process improvements to leadership. The role requires independent work on two machines, adherence to safety and company/FOD procedures, and reporting any machine issues. Night shift includes a 20% pay differential. Location: Phoenix, AZ. U.S. citizenship or valid permanent resident status is required.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. citizenship or Valid Permanent Resident status is required
- High School diploma or GED
- 5+ years experience preferred but not required
- Proficiency with measurement and inspection equipment (micrometers, bore gauges, Sunnen gauge, test indicators)
- Ability to read GD&T and interpret blueprints/prints
- Ability to stand for long shifts and work in a manufacturing environment
- Familiarity with Mazak machines is a plus
- Ability to adhere to safety and quality standards
